Poroshenko invites Japanese experts in energy efficiency sphere to Ukraine

08.04.2016 08:02 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of yesterday, within the framework of his official visit to Japan, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko visited the Isogo Thermal Power Station in Yokohama, which is the most efficient and environmentally safe thermal power station in the world, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports. As to the report, the power station is one of the first thermal power stations in the world that started using efficient technologies for cleaning of emissions and so presently Isogo is the global leader in terms of environmental safety - emissions of carbon monoxide and sulfur have been brought to almost zero. As to the report, within the meeting with the company leaders, the President invited Japanese experts to visit Ukraine in order to exchange experience and implement such technologies in our country. «We are planning to modernize our thermal power stations in order to become independent from Russian gas and coal and receive it from other markets,» Poroshenko noted. As to the President, Ukrainian-Japanese cooperation within the energy efficiency sphere is the most promising one and the experience of the Japanese companies is highly valuable.
