Baranivskiy to dismiss Khoroshailov, Bread of Ukraine Chairman

Oleksandr Baranivskiy, Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy, has proposed to Cabinet to dismiss Serghiy Khoroshailov, State-owned Joint Stock Company Bread of Ukraine Chairman, reported press agencies referring to Baranivskiy declaration. «I have submitted proposal on strengthening of Bread of Ukraine management… As of now, I don’t see any real efforts applied for Company strengthening; all energy is directed only to have this Company privatized up to some unintelligible schemes,» declared Baranivskiy. Acting Minister made it known he was ready to offer his candidature for Bread of Ukraine Chairman position. «If any particular candidature is required, we will put it forward,» added Baranivskiy. As earlier reported, Khoroshailov was nominated Bread of Ukraine Board Chairman in Jun 2005. State-owned Joint Stock Company Bread of Ukraine had ended 2005 at UAH22.998 mn loss. Company 2005 net profit was 1.360.033 mn. Company Bread of Ukraine was founded in 1996; presently Company incorporates 81 grain acceptance/storage system companies. Since end 1998 Company suffered financial problems due to having had got in big debts with petrol/gas companies while acting as agrarians fuel/fertilizers shipments intermediary. As to various estimations, Bread of Ukraine debts are ranging within UAH200 mn-UAH1.4 milliard. Company had ended 2004 at UAH66 mn loss. Cabinet had planned to examine Bread of Ukraine financial recovery possibilities on this year May 24, yet then postponed examination until later.
