USA is ready to fund the restoration of Donbas infrastructure – conversation between Poroshenko and Biden

As to the President Petro Poroshenko Press Office, yesterday the President of Ukraine held a phone conversation with the Vice President of the United States Joseph Biden in the course of which the parties discussed the international efforts for the implementation of the peace plan in the Donbas and the restoration of the infrastructure on the territories liberated from terrorists by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
As to the President, the Ukrainian army pays significant attention to the restoration of decent living conditions in the liberated cities, particularly to the restoration of water and energy supply, TV and radio broadcasting destroyed or damaged by militants. The Head of State stressed that the restoration of peaceful life in the Donbas was a priority for Ukraine given the horrors the residents of the East had to live through in the course of the terrorist attacks.
In response, Joseph Biden expressed his admiration for self-control and actions of Ukraine and assured of further support on behalf of the USA. In particular, Biden says that the United States is ready to consider the possibility of funding the projects on the restoration of the infrastructure in the Donbas following the example of the German initiative for residents of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk.
Also, Joseph Biden informed that the U.S. is ready to make efforts to broaden the support of international financial institutions for Ukraine.
