Yushchenko urges Rada to adopt WTO related agrarian draft Laws

07.02.2006 11:44 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Speaking in radio program broadcasted Feb 4, President Viktor Yushchenko has called upon Verkhovna Rada to enact draft Laws regulating agrarian sector relations in order to assure Ukraine WTO (World Trade Organization) joining. «I summon Verkhovna Rada political forces not to speculate on this problem. By doing so, You don’t let breath our peasants,» said Yushchenko. President emphasized WTO joining would open new sale markets for Ukrainian agricultural producers. Yushchenko reminded Poland/Romania example has already shown that WTO membership really gives advantages. As earlier reported, Ministry of Economics considers Ukraine would be able to join WTO in 2006. Ukraine had earlier planned joining WTO until 2006. It is to be reminded, Jan 20 Russia had introduced ban on all Ukrainian animal products import.
