Azarov calls on citizens to a peaceful resolution of the situation and to remain unprovoked

Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov called on protesters to a peaceful resolution of the situation and to remain unprovoked to the illegal actions of «politicians.» This was stated by him during a plenary sitting of the Parliament on December 3, Government Portal reports.
He urged the opposition leaders not to push people to illegal actions.
«There are skilled lawyers in your ranks, they are well aware that your actions violate not only the Constitution of Ukraine, its laws, but also directly violate the Criminal Code. We are open to dialogue. We are ready to discuss with peaceful demonstrators all terms of our agreements. We stretched your hand. If we find a fist, I say frankly — we haveenough forces,» he stressed.
At the same time he stressed that opposition’s MPs incur responsibility for illegal actions, and all the people thatMPs push for illegal actions would also incur responsibility.
The Prime Minister called on protesters «to reject politicians» who rush to power and repeat the scenario of 2004."But they forget that we have now a completely different country. What is the way for you to European integration, if you use such methods of actions? We will stay out, but you will be ashamed, and who are you going to work with then" he said.
Mykola Azarov said that the Government also is supported by most Ukrainians. «Yesterday, sittings of regionalcouncils, which represent three quarters of the population of Ukraine, were held. They demand from the government to restore order and continue the course on democratic transformation and European integration. In this we are united with those honest demonstrators who came into the squares.»
