Azarov: Cabinet of Ministers begins to consider draft Association Agreement with EU

18.09.2013 09:21 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — On September 18, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at its meeting will consider a draft Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union. Thus, the Government gives the start to domestic procedures, which are needed to the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU. This was stressed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov at a meeting with Minister of State for Europe of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office David Lidington, Government Portal reports. «Today Ukraine is facing a very serious event, Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius. Tomorrow, on September 18, we raise a draft Association Agreement with the European Union on the Government’s meeting and thus we begin the process of passing of internal procedures,» Mykola Azarov noted. At the same time he is confident that the Government will consider the draft Agreement and approve it. Next, we start the procedure for the preparation of the text of the Agreement before signing it at the summit in Vilnius. «It is a very important and great event for us. We take with great respect the position of Great Britain, which supports the process of signing this Agreement,» Mykola Azarov said.
