Ukrainian farmers completely provided with fertilizers for sowing campaign

27.03.2018 23:36 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of today, while sharing an interview with Interfax-Ukraine, Ukrainian First Vice-Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv has said Ukrainian farmers are fully provided with mineral fertilizers for spring field works, with the extension of the mineral fertilizers’ import barriers creating no fertilizers’ artificial shortages. "As of now, the domestic mineral fertilizers market is provided in full, thus assuring the spring field works’ carrying out, as confirmed by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, profile associations and producers. Last year, with the efforts of the Government, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, we launched the work of the companies producing mineral fertilizers, but they are not working at full capacity yet. I am talking about IPF, Sumykhimprom, Severodonetsk Azot, Cherkasy Azot and others, "he said. As to the report, Kubiv also noted that now there are 12 protective trade measures in effect against the mineral fertilizers imported from the RF, including 10 anti-dumping measures as well as one compensatory and one special measure. As to Kubiv, there is no artificial deficit of mineral fertilizers for the Ukrainian spring field works, but there are, however, some problems with the category of fertilizers used within the autumn field works.
