Astarta boosted sugar segment income by 15%

As of 2017, Astarta raised its sugar segment income to EUR201, up 15% against 2016, thanks to having had grown its sugar sale to 440,000 tons (up 14% against 2016), Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to Astarta press service report.
As to the report, as of 2017, the sugar segment has taken, traditionally, the biggest share (44%) of the Astarta total incomes.
As of 2017, Astarta boosted its sugar export to about 186,000 tons (up 34% against 2016), with sugar exported mainly to Asia and Africa countries. Besides, as of 2017, sales of granular beet pulp have also boosted - to 31,000 tons (up 18%) and molasses - to 99,000 tons (up 11%).
As to the report, the company consolidated revenue improved to EUR459 million (up 24% against 2016). EBITDA index has fallen to EUR120 million (down 21%).
Reportedly, as of 2017, Astarta net profit has grown to EUR62 million (up 25%), net debt has reduced to EUR130 million (down 11%).
As to the report, as of 2017, Astarta has invested EUR78 million into the construction of new elevators, development of an agricultural machinery park and modernization of processing companies.
