New Organization Business Unit Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA)

Following the announcement of Arysta LifeScience to build for 2018 a new and strong organization in EMEA at sub-regional and functional team level, the Company announced the appointment of several new sub-regional Directors. This new organization is effective from January 1st, 2018. Central & Eastern Europe (CE/EE) Stephen Karl has been appointed as Head of CE/EE region. In this role, Stephen Karl will also be the Commercial Director for the Balkan region and lead the Arysta Romania team as Country Manager. Commercial Directors for Czech Republic, Slovakia & Hungary, Poland & Baltics and CIS will report to Stephen Karl. Stephen has extensive experience in the agricultural sector, having worked in various roles in the agrochemical sector for companies like BASF in the USA and Germany. After concluding his tenure with BASF as Country Manager Romania/Bulgaria, he was General Manager of a 6000-hectares industrial farm in Romania and managed Romania & Bulgaria, for Bunge as Managing Director. In 2016, he set up a consultancy business in Agriculture. He will join Arysta on January 15th, 2018. Mediterranean & Middle East (MED) Felix Lorente has been appointed as Head of MED region in addition to his role as Country Manager Arysta Iberia. He will be responsible for leading the overall operations and strategy for all countries around the Mediterranean Sea & Middle East. Country managers of Italy, Greece/Cyprus, Turkey and Maghreb countries will report to him. Western & Central Africa (W&CA) Guy de Froberville has been appointed as Head of West & Central Africa region. In this role, Guy will also be responsible for the Private Market & Tender business in this area. The Commercial Director for Sahel countries and the Country Managers of Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Togo/Benin will report to Guy.North-West Europe (NWE) Richard Matei, currently Commercial Director Balkan region, has been appointed as Country Manager Arysta France. Richard has joined the Company 2 years ago, and has set up the subsidiaries in Romania and Bulgaria, while delivering a significant growth in the whole Balkan region. Richard Matei will report to Hildo Brilleman, CEO EMEA and head of the NWE region ad interim.
