President: Negotiations with UAE Prime Minister yielded important results
03.11.2017 12:10 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of yesterday, while on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko informed that within the negotiations with Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, ruler of the Emirate of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum several important results had been achieved, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to Poroshenko, in particular, an agreement was reached on bilateral cooperation within the space sector. «This is extremely important for us. It is a synergy of the potentials of the two states,» the Head of State noted in the comments on the results of the negotiations.
Besides, a Memorandum on Cooperation in the cultural area was signed, an agreement was reached on the support of the Crimean Tatars by the United Arab Emirates, as well as a number of important documents were signed.
«I have a good news for many Ukrainians who are going to visit UAE. Today, we signed a document abolishing visas for Ukrainians,» the Head of State said. As to him, only last year, 112 thousand Ukrainians visited this country and had to stand in queues for visas.
As to the report, the President expressed hope that the agreement will come into force in December after the exchange of notes. «Ukrainians will be free to travel to another extremely important and attractive country for us. And the value of the Ukrainian passport continues to grow,» Poroshenko stressed.
As to the report, the President noted that the work within that direction would be continued. «Within several months you will see a very pleasant news on this subject,» he added.
