Polish investors show interest to Belarus logistics projects

As of this week, while speaking within the 5th meeting of the Belarusian-Polish working group on trade and investment, Belarus Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgheniy Shestakov said a number of Polish transport and logistics companies are showing interest in the construction of logistics centers within Belarus, Belarus Radio says referring to BelTA report.
As to the report, the working group is part of the Belarus-Polish joint commission on economic cooperation.
«Fifth sites for building logistics centers were chosen as part of the state program to develop a logistics system in Belarus. A number of Polish transport and logistics companies are showing interest in investing in the sector which, as I see it, is going to become an important link ensuring the passage and processing of cargoes going both in the eastern and western directions,» Shestakov admitted.
As to the report, the deputy minister drew attention to the fact that Belarus is the gateway to the attractive Eurasian economic space, and also an important strategic hub on the new Silk Road route. Among the promising sectors, the diplomat named transport and logistics, construction industry, and the agricultural products’ processing.
