PM: Local governments to be ready to meet agrarians needs

24.10.2017 16:11 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of today, while speaking within a meeting of the Regional Development Council, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has said the Government-elaborated agrosector development support programs provide for access to lending resource and technical upgrading of farms, so the local authorities are to be prepared to implement program tasks and meet the needs of agricultural producers, Government Portal reports. As to the report, Groisman has stressed that access to the financial capital is now one of the pillars to promote the development of the real sector. And providing businesses with cheap and long-term loans is the guideline to be achieved, including through amending legislation and securing more reliable guarantees. Also, Groisman has reminded that within the draft 2018 State budget, the Government has included these tools, and so the agrarians must be prepared to participate within «support programs» - that is, programs of compensation for a portion of the value of agricultural machinery, programs of compensation for loan interests, as well as the possibility of lending for the construction of livestock breeding farms on preferential terms. «Take loans, build, buy Ukrainian (equipment of domestic make), create new jobs,» Groisman has urged.
