Klitschko announces ‘Kyiv Disneyland’ construction

26.09.2017 17:58 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of today, while speaking within the Kyiv Investment Forum, Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko has said the Hydropark recreational area will be reconstructed, the Irpin-Kyiv bike route will be created and a cableway will be built within the framework of development of tourist infrastructure of Kyiv, Ukrinform reports. «Kyiv is a Ukrainian tourist center. Last year, over 1.2 million foreign tourists and over 700,000 domestic tourists visited our city,» Klitschko admitted. As to him, for example, the entire Slovakia accepted 1.5 million foreign tourists in 2016. The mayor noted that Kyiv now implemented a number of projects to develop infrastructure for event tourism. As to him, in addition, an investment project for reconstruction of the Hydropark recreational area will be presented this year. In particular, the project will provide for construction of an amusement park like Disneyland. The draft concept of the development of cycling infrastructure in Kyiv provides, in particular, for creation of the bike route Irpin-Kyiv.
