Presidential Administration opened exhibition “50 Ukrainian Inventions that Changed the World”

As of today, the Second Floor Art Center (second floor of the Presidential Administration) has opened the exhibition «50 Ukrainian Inventions that Changed the World», President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the event was attended by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Dmytro Shymkiv, organizers and Ukrainian inventor Ihor Pasternak.
Opening the exhibition, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Dmytro Shymkiv emphasized the symbolical connection between the exhibition «16» dedicated to the ATO heroes and this exhibition, which tells about peaceful inventions of Ukrainians.
«It is not a coincidence that our today’s exhibition goes after the exhibition „16». Peaceful and free country is impossible without a reliable defense. Israel is a bright example of this. A lot of inventions have been military ones at first. If we take GPS and Internet - these are military technologies," Shymkiv said.
As to the report, he also shared his impressions from the presentation of the project in Washington. As to him, Americans were amazed at the number of inventions Ukraine had given to the world.
Reportedly, the Advisor to the President Natalia Popovych told that the idea of the exhibition was born on the eve of the Constitution Day in the context of political innovations, because Ukrainian Hetman Pylyp Orlyk is considered to be the author of the first Constitution in the world.
«If there were ratings of innovative countries or nations with innovative potential, Ukraine would have a decent position in them. Probably, due to the multiculturalism of Ukraine, which through the centuries often affects the special expression of talent. Probably, due to the presence of DNA of freedom in Ukrainians, which has always been a feature of inventors,» Popovych emphasized.
It is to be admitted, the exhibition is already the third one in the Presidential Administration.
In meanwhile, the Presidential Administration officials are currently working over the new interesting programs aimed to make the Administration more open and friendly institution, particularly for pupils and students.
