On August 31, 2013 at 11:05 p.m Kyiv time Ukrainian Zenit-2SÁ launch carrier, designed by the Pivdenne Design Bureau and produced by the Pivdenny machine-building plant in cooperation with Ukrainian and Russian enterprises, was launched successfully from the Baikonur cosmodrome and led to orbit Israeli Amos-4 communication satellite, Government Portal reports.
«Successful launch of Zenit launch carrier on the Land Start program has become the proof of high professionalism of national designers and producers of space equipment and a result of fruitful cooperation with our Russian and other foreign partners,» Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko stressed.
He expressed belief in further successful realization in Ukraine of space programs and wished success and good launches to all the enterprises involved in the area.
