Continental Farmers Group Carried Out Agricultural Exhibition&Conference Event
On Friday, August 28, near the city of Khorostkiv, Ternopil Oblast, the Continental Farmers Group held an agricultural exhibition&conference event at its own research and testing field. Among the participants, there were colleagues in the agricultural business and representatives of the Company’s partners. Among others, farmers from the Ternopil, Lviv, and Bukovyna regions took part in the event. The farmers got the real chance to adopt the Company’s best practices in crop growing, and to gain deeper insight into the crop farming techniques utilized by the Continental Farmers Group.
As part of the event, all participants could closely inspect the corporate research fields planted with soybeans, sunflowers, and corn where the results of agricultural production testing were presented by farmers. They also had a good opportunity to evaluate the impact of various environmental and man-made factors on the quality and yield of different crops, to share their experiences in applying new agrotechnical solutions, to analyze the practices of seed hybrid selection, and to thoroughly review various plant protection agents, chemical fertilizers, etc.
Georg von Nolcken, CEO of the Continental Farmers Group, pointed out that holding similar exhibition&conference events is highly beneficial not only to the professional growth of the Company’s agricultural professionals, but also to the overall development of agriculture in the region.
«We consider our colleagues in the agricultural sector our most important partners in the business of land cultivation. Therefore, we shall consolidate our efforts and work together to take good care of these lands. We shall also make our sector highly advanced and competitive. Make no mistake about it, the practices of small- and medium-size farmers are of no less importance than those of large-size agricultural holdings. The Continental Farmers Group is a fully open company , and we are ready to master new partnership trends with farmers, - for instance, we can provide grain elevator services, help farmers to sell the grain harvest, and assist them with the necessary material supplies during the sowing campaign», said Georg von Nolcken.
Due to the imposed quarantine restrictions, all sections of the Continental event were held outdoors and in compliance with the recommended safety precautions.
