Bunge helps doctors, fighting COVID-19, by personnel protective equipment purchasing with a cost of more than UAH 1 million
Bunge Ukraine announced a donation of more than one million hryvnas for the purchase of personnel protective equipment for the medical personnel in Odesa, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovograd regions. The donation is part of the company’s global commitment to support health and hunger causes related to COVID-19 in the communities in which Bunge operates. The first consignment of personnel protective equipment including respirators of FFP 2 type, medical masks, protective glasses, disposal gloves, surgical boots, disposal caps in amount of more than 54 thousand pieces has already been delivered to local hospitals and ambulances. «During the global pandemic, our company continues to perform an important social role to ensure continuous supply of food and feed products. At the same time, we believe that the main heroes of today are doctors who selflessly and tirelessly fight COVID-19. With a great respect and gratitude, we would like to join to this collective fight by providing proper protection to the medical staff, which is one of the important factors in successful fight against the disease.» said Bunge’s Vice President, Ukraine and Black Sea Andrzej Rozycki.
