Experts say within this week Ukrainian domestic/export markets’ casein prices were supported mainly by domestic raw milk output gradual seasonal decline (even despite export market low sale rates). As of this week, Ukrainian domestic market demineralized whey prices have declined to UAH10,5011,00 per kg (down 3.15% against previous week/down 7.33% as of last month similar); export market prices have lowered to US$400450 per MT (down 1.73% against previous week/down 6.08% against previous month similar). Besides, this week Ukrainian domestic market classic whey prices have fallen to UAH10,5011,00 per kg (down 4.44% against previous week/down 1.15% as of last month similar); export market prices have sagged to US$390405 per MT (down 1.24% against previous week/down 1.70% as of last month similar). Experts admit prices’ decline on Ukrainian domestic/export markets has been caused mainly by demand slackening. It is to be mentioned, within this week Ukrainian producers’ unsold whey reserves were very high, so producers had to agree even for low sale prices. As of this week, Ukrainian inner market GOST canned milk prices have slightly grown against previous week to UAH11,814,2 per can (380 gr).
