As to UkrainianState Statistics Committee report, within this year Sept Ukrainian domestic consumer market foods’ prices have declined by 0.3% against this year Aug; however, milk prices have grown by 2.5% (cheese by 2.7%; butter by 2.6%).
As to report, within this year Sept Ukrainian all categories companies’ raw milk output equaled to 1,013.700 MT (incl. agricultural companies 187,000 MT/population individual economies 826,100 MT), down 10.7% against this year Aug/down 1.2% as of last year Sept 1,026.500 MT.
As to Committee, as of Oct 01/11, Ukrainian agricultural companies’ cows number has lowered to 582,600 heads, down 1.6% against Oct 01/10 (592,200 heads), while population individual economies’ cows number has declined to 2,057.800 heads, down 4% as of Oct 01/10 (2,144.400 heads).
Reportedly, within this year Aug Ukrainian full-fat cheeses’ output has improved to 17,629 MT (up 6.3% against this year Jul, but down 7.9% as of last year Aug). As of this yea Aug, Ukrainian full-fat cheeses’ biggest outputs were assured by Poltava region, Sumy region, Cherkasy region, Cherhighiv region and Rivne region, while 5 leading producers were CJSC Pyriatynskiy Cheese Plant (Poltava region), OJSC Dubnomoloko(Rivne region), CJSC Gadiachsyr(Poltava region),Menskiy Syr, Subsidiary (Chernighiv region) and OJSC Shostkynskiy City Dairy Plant (Sumy region).
As to Committee, within this year Aug Ukrainian fermented milk products’ output has declined to 39,785 MT (down 13.6% against this year Jul/down 13.5% as of last year Aug). Within Aug 2011 highest fermented milk products’ outputs were provided by Kyiv region, Kharkiv region, Lviv region and Dnipropetrovsk region, while fermented milk products’ output leading companies were CJSC Galychyna (Lviv region); CJSC Dairy Plant Rodich (Kherson region); CJSC Donetskiy City Dairy Plant ¹2 (Donetsk region) and OJSC Kyivskiy City Dairy Plant ¹3 (Kyiv region).
In Aug 2011, Ukrainian butter import has fallen to 303,830 MT, down 24.2% against Jul 2011; Ukrainian Jan-Aug 2011 butter import totaled 2,132.190 MT. In Aug 2011, Ukraine imported butter from Belarus (49.8% total), France (34.2%) and USA (6.6%). Rating of foreign companies exporting butter to Ukraine was as follows: OJSC Lidskiy Canned Milk Integrated Plant, Belarus(39.5% total), Lactalis International, France (34%) and OJSC Molochniye Produkty, Belarus(8.3%). At same time, rating of Ukrainian butter importing companies was as follows: OJSC Zhytomyrskiy Butter Plant, Zhytomyr(39.5% total), Laktalis Ukraine, Subsidiary, Kyiv (34%) and Faktorial Ltd, Zhytomyr region (7.4%).
Reportedly, within Aug 2011 Ukrainian butter export has declined to 116,36 MT, down 7.1% against Jul 2011; within Jan-Aug 2011 country butter export totaled 1,841.6 MT. In Aug 2011, Ukrainian butter biggest lots were shipped out to Moldova (46.1% total export),
Kazakhstan (33.5%) and Azerbaijan (19.8%); leading importing companies were Agroproduct Asia Ltd, Kazakhstan (33.5% total), Sherif Ltd, Moldova (20.3%) and OJSC Rybnitskiy Dairy Integrated Plant, Moldova (17.2%). At same time, leading Ukrainian butter exporting companies were OJSC Velykoburlutskiy Cheese Plant, Kharkiv region (33.5% total), Milkiland-Ukraine, Subsidiary, Kyiv (17.2%), OJSC Zhytomyrskiy Butter Plant, Zhytomyr (11.1%).
In meanwhile, within reporting week Ukrainian domestic dairy products’ market demand was lowering down. At same time, all dairy products’ unsold reserves were growing up.
Within this week Ukrainian domestic market SMP prices have declined to UAH2930 per kg (down 1.7% against previous week); this week SMP export prices have sagged to US$2,9003,000 per MT (down 2.5% as of last week). It is to be admitted, within this week Ukrainian SMP export rates have lowered against previous week due to SMP prices having had fallen on many countries’ domestic markets.
Within reporting week internal market cheese prices fluctuated within UAH5255 per kg. As of this week, cheese export prices ranged within US$5,8006,000 per MT; companies exported cheese just in small lots.
As of this week, Ukrainian WMP export market prices ranged within US$3,5003,600 per MT (domestic market UAH3637 per kg); it is to be admitted, this week export/domestic markets’ SMP demand remained low.
Within reporting week internal market casein prices were UAH7577 per kg. As of this week, casein export market prices have strengthened to US$8,6008,800 per MT, up 0.9% against previous week; it is to be mentioned, within this week casein export market demand has lowered as of last week.
Within this week Ukrainian home market butter prices have declined to UAH43,544,5 per kg, down as of last week UAH4445 per kg; export prices have slackened to US$3,9504,100 per MT, down 0.6% against previous week. This week butter export rates remained rather low.
