Within reporting week food wheat prices remained rather high due to flour milling integrated plants/several exporters high demand. Food wheat prices were additionally supported by agricultural producers low offer.
It is to be admitted, feed wheat market has been remaining relatively stable within last few months, — what is to be explained with, firstly, foreign purchasers being interested in Ukrainian food wheat rather than in feed wheat and, secondly, Ukrainian domestic market feed wheat offer being very low (as of now, feed wheat is purchased mainly by mixed feeds plants).
As of this week, feed maize prices remained stably high. As earlier, agrarians continued withholding their export quality feed maize reserves in anticipation for higher prices. In meanwhile, experts admit Ukrainian export quality feed maize reserves are rather small (though market demand remains rather high). As of now, experts can’t affirm feed maize prices will start growing; however, experts are quite certain prices won’t go down in near future.

Processors Activity
As of this week, flour millers kept their food/feed grains purchase prices unchanged against previous week. Market passiveness has been caused by 2 days holidays (held to celebrate International Women’s Day) and exporters grains low demand (in fact, there were just 2–3 exporters trying to purchase grains).
As earlier, within this week agricultural producers continued dictating grains high offer prices in most regions. There were just few agricultural producers which sold their grains in small lots as they needed finances; most agrarians, however, planned to start selling their grains reserves only since early Apr and therefore took wait-and-see attitude.
