12.11.2007 15:40 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Ministry of Agrarian Policy isn’t against grains export quotas double growth (up to 2.4 mn MT) as well as their efficiency prolonging until end 2007/08 MY (Jul/07-Jun/08), reported Borys Supikhanov, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy. “1.2 mn MT is normal. However, grains export quotas can total twice as that,” declared Supikhanov. He made it known quotas are likely to be prolonged until this MY end. Supikhanov said grains export total volume may be specified only after Ukraine ends grains harvesting. Reportedly, Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA) expects grains export quotas will be raised within Apr-Jun 2008. Cabinet has permitted 1.203 mn MT grains to be exported within Nov 1/07-Mar 31/08.
