Ministry of Agrarian Policy suggests feed grains export quoting abolishment

As to Borys Supikhanov, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy, Ministry has proposed to Cabinet to cancel feed barley/maize export quoting due to these grains sufficient domestic market reserves. As to Ministry of Agrarian Policy press-service, Ministry experts are convinced within this year first half agricultural companies will be able to export as much feed barley/maize as within last year similar period. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, Cabinet/traders long-lasting negotiations resulted in Cabinet having had raised grains export quota by 0.9 mn MT (to be efficient until 2006/07 MY end). Cabinet also permitted to export grains accumulated on ports elevators. Ukrainian grains export was restricted with quotas/licenses since autumn 2006. Ukrainian 2006 grains crop totaled 34.3 mn MT, down against 38.015 mn MT in 2005.
