Harvesting campaign 2019: agrarians got almost 59 million tons grains

21.10.2019 21:04 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of this year Oct 21, Ukrainian agrarians have harvested 58.9 million tons grains/leguminous plants at 13.1 million ha (86% total planned areas to be harvested at), average yield - 45 metric centners per ha, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Foods reports. Thus, in part., agrarians have got 19.1 million tons maize at 2.9 million ha (58%), average yield - 66.3 metric centners per ha); 85,000 tons buckwheat at 64,000 ha (95%), average yield - 13.3 metric centners per ha; 151,000 tons millet at 80,000 ha (90%), average yield - 18.8 metric centners per ha; 13.3 million tons sunseeds at 5.5 million ha (94%), average yield - 24.3 metric centners per ha; 3.3 million tons soybeans at 1.4 million ha (90%), average yield - 23.3 metric centners per ha; 6 million tons sugar beets at 137,000 ha (62%), average yield - 437 metric centners per ha; As to the report, alongside with harvesting, agrarians continue autumn sowing campaign (2020 crop). Thus, as of this year Oct 21, agrarians have already sown winter grains at 6.4 million ha (88% total areas to be sown at).
