Agrarian Ministry to strengthen Ukrainian-Polish agro-industrial cooperation

As of last week, while speaking within the 10th International Forum ‘Days of Ukrainian Business within Poland, Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Foods, Victor Sheremeta, told it is necessary to deepen the Ukrainian-Polish agro-industrial complex cooperation, Ukrinform says referring to the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Foods report.
«Among the Agrarian Ministry priorities, there is the development of farming, agricultural co-operation and boost of the value added agricultural products’ output. However, at same time, the Ukrainian machinery producers so far can’t fully satisfy the needs of the domestic agricultural producers as for the equipment and technology to ensure the value added agricultural products’ output. So, the Agrarian Ministry is interested to create joint Ukrainian-Polish companies to produce agricultural mini-machinery and equipment,» Sheremeta said.
As to him, presently the Ukrainian agricultural producers and cooperatives require the equipment for the fruit-berries’ growth sphere output, harvesting, storage, processing, quality assessment, sorting and packaging, as well as for the beekeeping products’ output. Besides, he also admitted the Ukrainian Agrarian Ministry is interested to create a joint logistics’ company for the sale of agricultural products within the EU countries. .
It is to be admitted, Sheremeta also stressed there is a boost of the Ukraine-Poland agricultural products’ trade turnover: thus, as to him, within this year this year Jan-Mar, the both countries’ trade turnover has grown 15% against last year similar.
