Ukrainian domestic meat prices stabilized

As of this year early Mar, Ukrainian domestic meat market situation has become stable, Ukrinform says referring to Natalia Kopytets, Researcher of the National Science Center «Institute of Agrarian Economics», report.
Thus, as to her, as of this year early Mar, the Ukrainian domestic market beef wholesale prices have grown just 0.3% against this year early Jan, while the pork wholesale prices have even declined 1.4%.
«Within Jan-Feb 2019, the price situation on the Ukrainian domestic meat market remained virtually unchanged. After a growth period as of Dec 2018 Jan 2019, caused by the country preparation for New Year and Christmas holidays, since Feb 2019, the Ukrainian domestic market prices have stabilized,» she said.
Thus, as of early Mar 2019, the domestic market wholesale beef prices were UAH79.66 per kg, up 0.3% against early Jan 2019; at same time, the pork prices were UAH74.65 per kg, down 1.4% as of early Jan 2019," she admitted.
As to her, the domestic market retail prices for bone beef, within Jan-Mar 2019, have grown to UAH 99.01 per 1 kg, up 0.5% against early Jan 2019. At same time, the pork retail prices have declined to 98.34 UAH per 1 kg, down 1% against early Jan 2019. Also, the retail prices for the chicken carcasses have boosted to UAH58.83 per 1 kg, up 1.4% against early Jan 2019.
