EU to boost duty-free quotas for Ukrainian chicken meat
15.03.2019 22:54 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of this week, the Ukrainian and EU representatives have concluded a preliminary agreement allowing Ukraine to boost its chicken meat duty-free export to EU countries, Ukrinform says referring to Politico report.
«Brussels and Kiev have made a preliminary agreement enabling Ukraine to grow its duty-free export of the chicken breasts to the EU even despite the complaints of the European farmers about the Ukrainian poultry breeders having created hindrances to the EU farmers’ business by using a tricky legal loophole,» the report reads.
As to the report, the European Commission spokesman has already confirmed the news about the preliminary agreement conclusion, which will now be sent for approval to the EU Council and the EU Parliament.
