Vinnytsia Region sugar output to exceed 350,000 tons
04.12.2018 23:36 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Within this MY (marketing year) the Vinnytsia region sugar plants are going to produce over 350,000 tons sugar,
Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to the Voice of Ukraine report.
As to the report, as of this week, the Vinnytsia region agrarians have completed their sugar beets’ harvesting; the agrarians have harvested in total 3.139 million tons sugar beets, up against last year similar 2.73 million tons. However, this year the regional sugar plants won’t produce as much sugar as last year (445,600 tons).
As to the report, this year the regional agrarians sugar beets’ crop was up against last year similar due to the sugar beets’ crop yield being higher. Thus, this year regional sugar beets’ average yield is almost 567 metric centners per ha (up against last year similar 482 metric centners per ha).
However, despite of that, the experts affirm the Vinnytsia region sugar plants won’t reach their last year sugar total output (445,600 tons).
