Ukrainian organic sugar demand up

As of this week, while speaking within a conference «Organic plant growing: the best practices within 10 years», Agroecology Director Gleb Lukianenko has told Ukrainian domestic demand for organic sugar will continued boosting, Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers reports. «The domestic demand for organic sugar will be growing - so, the domestic organic sugar beet sown areas will be also growing,» he said. Reportedly, Lukianenko reminded that his company earlier was engaged into the organic sugar beet cultivation. As to the report, Lukianenko told that at that time his company had to refuse from that project as there was no demand for the organic sugar on the Ukrainian domestic market. However, as to Lukianenko, now the domestic market conjuncture has started stimulating the sugar plants to begin the organic sugar certain lots’ output and certify them.
