1 half year pigs sale price down 13%, to UAH8,841 per MT

As to State Statistics Committee, within 2006 first 6 months Ukrainian agricultural companies of all kinds ownership (except small-scale ones) have been selling pigs at average price UAH8,841.2 per MT, down UAH1,287 per MT (- 12.7%) against 2005 similar. As to Committee, agricultural companies were selling pigs to processors at UAH8,994.1 per MT; companies gave pigs to population (incl. public catering system) at UAH9,809.2 per MT on account of salaries and to shareholders at UAH11,529.1 per MT on account of land plots/property shares rental payment. Committee reports agricultural companies were selling pigs on markets and in shops (stalls, booths, etc) at UAH7,859.8 per MT; pigs were sold at UAH8,483.3 per MT through other trade channels. As earlier reported, within 2005 first 6 months agricultural companies were selling pigs at average UAH10,128.2 per MT. Within 2006 first half Ukrainian agricultural companies of all kinds ownership (except small-scale ones) have boosted pigs sales to 93,440 MT, up 26,716 MT (+ 40%) against 2005 first half.
