Most Ukrainian raw milk producers against State support current methods
07.03.2018 22:57 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Most Ukrainian milk producers oppose the current mechanisms of the State support to the domestic livestock sector due to the «manual» distribution of budgetary finances through the special regional commissions, Interfax-Ukraine says referring to the VAR (All-Ukrainian Agrarian Rada) report.
As to the report, as to the results of the voting held among the participants of the 11th Milk Congress, 93.2% of the Ukrainian raw milk producers spoke against the Government-approved procedures of the distribution of State support for the Ukrainian Agroindustrial Complex within 2018.
As to the report, 74.03% of the Ukrainian raw milk producers told that an acceptable State support program could be the payment of a subsidy for each 1 UAH of the raw milk sold off by the raw milk producers. However, at same time, about 14.3% of the raw milk producers prefer to receive subsidies per each 1 hectare which they use for the cultivation of the subsidized feed plants.
As to the report, about 97.44% of the raw milk producers noted that they prefer automatic payment of subsidies, the amount of which is proportional to their income (what is called «quasi-accumulation of VAT»), but on condition if this method is somewhat bettered taking into account a number of improvements that had been proposed by the VAR within last year. Only 2.6% of the Congress participants expressed support for the other kinds of State support (which are to be distributed through the regional commissions).
