1 half year agrarians vegetable oil sales up 30.7%, to 6,300 MT

As to State Statistics Committee, within this year first 6 months Ukrainian agricultural companies of all kinds ownership (except small-scale ones) have enhanced vegetable oil sales to 6,374 MT, up 1,499 MT (+ 30.7%) against 2005 similar. As for vegetable oil sales structure, 0.9% oil was sold to processing companies, 8.3% have been given to population (incl. public catering system) on account of salaries and 12.3% to shareholders on account of land plots/property shares rental payment, reports State Statistics Committee. As to Committee, agricultural companies have sold off 11.9% vegetable oil in shops (stalls, booths, etc) and on markets. 66.6% oil was sold through other trade channels. As earlier reported, within 1 half year 2005 agricultural companies had sold in total 4,875 MT vegetable oil. Within Jun crude/refined vegetable oil prices had grown to UAH3,795,13 per liter, up 0.45.4% against May on 10 regions markets, while retail sale prices had declined to UAH5,536,25 per liter, down 0.22.9% as of May in 12 regions shops. Domestic vegetable oil market annual capacity is estimated 500,000550,000 MT.
