State Reserve plans to end 2006 food grain 400,000 MT purchasing this Sept

State Committee for Material Reserves (State Reserve) is going to finish earlier planned purchases of this year crop food grain 400,000 MT until Sept 20, reported State Reserve press-service. As to report, Committee is set to hold fist grain purchase tender on Jul 25 (with 50,000 MT grain planned to be bought), second on Aug 8 and last on Oct 17. As to press-service, on first tender grain will be bought from Myckolayiv, Kherson, Zaporizhia, Odessa regions and AR of the Crimea agrarians (in these regions there are 6 State Reserve system companies). On second tender (Aug 8) grain will be purchased from all regions except for western. As earlier reported, Committee plans to purchase mainly 3/4 classes wheat and partially 5 class wheat, buckwheat, rice and rye at grains minimal purchase prices established by Cabinet for 2006/07 MY (in part., 3 class wheat UAH700 per MT). As to Committee data, in 2005 it had bought 300,000 MT grain (from 450,000 MT stipulated by its 2005 reserves renewal/replenishment plan and despite being commissioned by Government to purchase 1 mn MT). In 2004 Committee had purchased 862,000 MT grain (from 500,000 MT stipulated by its 2004 reserves renewal/replenishment plan and despite Government commission to buy 1 mn MT). State Committee for Material Reserves performs purchases of food articles considered strategic.
