President: Ukrainian-Danish close interaction on reforms implementation starts to bring its first fruits

As of yesterday, while speaking within the joint press conference with Prime Minister of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko emphasized an efficient support of Danish partners in the implementation of Ukrainian reforms and growth of business relations between our countries, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
«I am glad that our close interaction on reforms agenda starts to bring its first fruits,» Poroshenko said.
As to the report, the President noted the growth of bilateral trade turnover (exceeded US$472 million within 2016).
«With pleasure I note growth of the level of bilateral relations in other spheres. It is a clear sign of recovery of trust of foreign investors,» the President said. He added: «There are excellent examples of our Danish partners’ support in public administration, fight against corruption, improving energy efficiency».
As to him, it is very important to hear from the representatives of the leading Danish companies that already work in Ukraine or plan to invest in Ukraine that business has already noticed practical results of the reforms. «This is a very good advert for the potential investor to come and work with us,» the President emphasized.
As to the President, Denmark is the best country in Europe in terms of business conditions. «We study your experience and want to implement it in our country,» he said adding that it comes to not only the investments into Ukraine, but also a very high business culture of Denmark.
Besides, Poroshenko also thanked for the leading role of Denmark within the implementation of the EU anti-corruption initiative and highly evaluated the work of the Ukraine-Denmark Energy Centre.
Petro Poroshenko thanked the Prime Minister of Denmark for supporting Ukraine and invited him to pay an official visit to Ukraine.
