Ukrainian universities win EUR817,000 EU grant for 'Internet of Things' project

An educational online platform SmartMe University and 7 Ukrainian universities will receive a grant from Erasmus (a non-profit program of the European Union) for about EUR817,000 EU for Internet of Things project, NRCU says referring to the SmartMe University report (with reference to its managing partner Oksana Bila).
It is to be admitted, the coordinator of the Internet of Things project is Newcastle University (Britain).
As to the report, the works will start on this year Oct 15 and will last three years.
«As to experts, the financial potential of the „Internet of Things“ is US$8.9 trillion. Therefore research in this direction is important not only for the IT industry: the detailed study of the IoT [Internet of Things] will allow providing students with knowledge and skills to improve their competitiveness in a rapidly changing labor market,» Bila said.
As to the report, the project is also participated by universities from Portugal, the UK, Sweden and Italy.
It is to be admitted, SmartMe University is an educational online platform, specializing in training IT professionals since 2010; Erasmus is a non-profit program of the European Union launched in 1987.
