Ukrainian Finance Minister met with IMF technical mission

As of this week, Ukrainian Finance Minister Olexander Danyliuk met with the technical mission of the International Monetary Fund. The topic of discussion was the implementation of the reform of the Ukrainian State Fiscal Service, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, the delegation of the IMF fiscal affairs department came to Ukraine to conduct an independent assessment of the reform of the Ukrainian State Fiscal Service and develop recommendations.
Reportedly, the sides discussed the implementation of key performance indicators developed by the Ministry of Finance (KPI) which reflect the expectations of business from structural changes in the SFS. It was also considered the reduction of unnecessary functions and inefficient staff of the SFS, firstly dismiss support staff in the regions and use the released funds to increase salaries.
It is to be admitted, in order to reduce abuse in the SFS, the Finance Ministry is developing additional tools to protect the rights of taxpayers. Currently it is also planned to simplify the process of appeals.
