Ukrainian Jan-Feb foods export to Russia down 22%, to US$131.6 mn

Ukrainian this year Jan-Feb foods export to Russia has fallen to US$131.6 mn, down US$38 mn (- 22.3%) against last year Jan-Feb, reported State Statistics Committee.
As to report, despite this year Jan-Feb Ukraine/Russia total goods turnover having grown by US$370 mn (up 15.1% against last year Jan-Feb), foods group turnover has fallen by US$27.3 mn (down 12.6% as of last year Jan-Feb), with foods group share in total turnover having declined from 8.9% (Jan-Feb 2005) down to 6.7% (Jan-Feb 2006).
As to State Statistics Committee, within this year Jan-Feb Ukraine has raised foods import from Russia to US$57.7 mn, up US$11 mn (+ 22.2%) as of last year Jan-Feb.
As to State Statistics Committee, Ukrainian this year Jan-Feb all kinds goods export to
Russia totaled US$971.9 mn (down against US$874.5 mn in last year Jan-Feb), while Russian this year Jan-Feb all kinds goods export to Ukraine has amounted to US$1.842.9 mn (up against US$1.570.6 mn in last year Jan-Feb).
As earlier reported, Cabinet is going to discuss state of Ukrainian food products (in part., animal products) export to Russia on Apr 19 meeting.
