Chemical plants to decline ammonium nitrate prices due to agrarians low activity
27.03.2006 10:00 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Ammonium nitrate producers must low their ready products sale prices owing to warehouses overstocking/agricultural companies slack activity, reported Agrarika Ltd referring to chemical plants.
As to Agrarika Ltd, presently plants sell ammonium nitrate (sacks) UAH924960 per MT, down against early Mar UAH1,0621,300 per MT (VAT incl.).
«Companies Rivneazot (Rivne) and Azot (Cherkassy) have sales problems; big lots ammonium nitrate produced by Association Azot (c. Severodonetsk) were kept literally
„on wheels», in railway cars, for long time due to Association doesn’t have its own ammonium nitrate warehouses," said Dmytro Gordeychuk, Agrarika Ltd analyst.
As to Agrarika Ltd, even after having decided to push down sale prices, chemical plants
won’t be able to completely sell off Apr produced ammonium nitrate, due to operators warehouses earlier accumulated reserves/big lots exported from Russia.
Reportedly, early Mar chemical plants had started to raise ammonium nitrate sale prices on background of sales growth.
As of Feb 3, agricultural companies had 145,900 MT mineral fertilizers (in terms of nutritive substances) or 21.7% of total 672,500 MT necessary for 2006 spring sowing campaign.
