Azarov: Adaptation of Ukrainian technical regulations with the EU requirements to cost 165 billion euros

Adaptation of Ukrainian technical regulations with the EU requirements will cost Ukraine for 10 years 165 billion euros.
This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov at a meeting on Thursday with a delegation of the European Parliament’s Political Groups: Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE), Government Portal reports.
«The Association Agreement is a comprehensive and very difficult for Ukraine. For example, adaptation of technical regulations requires about 165 billion euros from Ukraine during 10 years. This is a huge job. We will have to retarget all our economy to new standards for us,» Mykola Azarov said.
Members of the European Parliament, in turn, noted that the summit in Vilnius is a unique opportunity for the integration of Ukraine into the EU. «Summit in Vilnius for all of us is a unique opportunity,» MEPAnnemie Neyts-Uyttebroeck said.
