Gryshchenko opened Ukrainian pavilion during 55-th Venice Biennale

On May 29, 2013 in Venice a Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko has participated in grand opening of a Ukrainian modern art pavilion for the 55-th Biennale, Government Portal reports.
In his address he emphasized that participation of Ukrainian artists in the Venice Biennale appeared a remarkable opoortunity not only to represent the works to wide international audience but through their art to contribute to opening and further advancement of Ukraine in the world.
Kostyantyn Gryshchenko also stressed that in recent years our state was not just a participant of various international exhibitions but it tries to create in Ukraine a peculiar kind of international platform of modern art. Succesful realization of Arsenale-2012 initiative became the proof of it.
This year for the Venice Biennale Ukraine is represented by young Ukrainian artists among which Zhanna Kadyrova, Mykola Ridnyi and Gamlet Zinkovskyi. Their project «The monument to a monument» the topic of which corresponds to the general concept of this year’s Biennale titled «The Encyclopedic Palace» has a goal to consider a memory issue in all its aspects - in cultural, historical and personal as well.
Already in the first day of the exhibition the Ukrainian pavillion was visited by a number of foreign guests and representatives of Ukrainian community.
