«We have an ambitious goal for this year signing of the Association and FTA Agreement with the EU in the course of November Summit in Vilnius,» the President said.
According to the Head of State, European integration is first of all state modernization and adherence to democratic standards. «We continue the process of harmonizing national legislation with European standards,» Viktor Yanukovych noted.
«There are many different issues like harmonization of legislation, our obligations before the Council of Europe, our joint plans… All these issues are in a working process. Sometimes we are not able to solve them on time due to some objective and subjective reasons. One of the subjective reasons is the break in the work of the parliament,» the President emphasized.
