Nothing poses threat to Kyiv dam, Mykola Azarov

As to Government Portal, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has attended Kyiv hydroelectric power station, got acquainted with activity of the object in a water discharge regime. The head of Government got convinced personally that speculations regarding Kyiv dam were groundless, as it is completely safe and operates in a usual regime.
«There exist certain speculations concerning critical state of Kyiv dam. There is no critical state! I purposefully asked an Ukrhydroenerho representative and he reported that monitoring is being held all day round and on a daily basis. The state of dam and dyke do not cause any concern,» Mykola Azarov explained.
The Premier also emphasized that even the office of Ukrhydroenerho chief was situated under the dam, lower than water reservoir level. «Even this proves that all of us are in safety,» Mykola Azarov joked.
