Groisman: ProZorro use benefits brought UAH24 milliard budgetary funds saving

As of today, while speaking within opening of the world largest event on public procurement titled Procurement, Integrity Management and Openness (PRIMO) Forum (to be held in Kyiv within this year May 2325), Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said the use of advantages of the introduced within 2016 e-procurement system ProZorro had allowed to save UAH24 milliard of budgetary funds, while the total volume of trading has exceeded UAH700 milliard, Government Portal reports.
«Until recently, the procurement system in Ukraine had been rather non-transparent, causing milliards in losses and had been a source of corruption. The system has changed. The Parliament supported changes offered by the Government, so our Government obtained an opportunity to introduce the new system. Starting since Aug 1, 2016 we had launched a new platform ProZorro, which has become known far beyond the borders of our state. Due to this system, we are finding the most effective and sustainable solutions for public procurement… Recently, through ProZorro there have been conducted purchases to the tune of nearly UAH700 milliard. And today we can ascertain a fact: the system saves resources for the budget. Budget savings make up UAH24 milliard,» Groisman admitted.
Besides, the PM also underlined that privatization of non-strategic State-owned companies is to be the next step within the operation of the Prozorro system - what will allow to find new owners of the assets, and therefore to create new jobs as well as to attract new technologies and investment.
