Kubiv: Agro-industrial complex digital solutions to enhance Ukrainian agricultural products competitiveness

As of last week, Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv took part within the international forum AGROPORT West Lviv-2017 in Lviv, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, while speaking within the forum, Kubiv stressed the importance of boosting the production of finished agricultural products and increasing exports of products with high degree of processing. He noted that a key priority of the Government is the transition from a resource based economy to high-tech production and exports of products with high added value.
«Today, the agribusiness is a driver of the Ukrainian economy. The use of IT technologies and digital solutions will enable the agro-industrial complex to significantly grow the added value of their agricultural products, to strengthen their competitiveness in the European and world markets,» he emphasized.
As to the report, Kubiv added that Ukraine rightly claim the European and world leadership in the production of organic products, produce from ecological farming.
«Ukrainian farmers are growing tasty, healthy, organic products that quickly find devoted consumers in Ukraine and abroad. The Government and the Ministry of Economic Development are working to expand opportunities for access of Ukrainian farmers to new markets, and I believe that our farmers will have even better opportunities for production, exports as well as extraordinary success in the world,» Kubiv said.
Reportedly, the forum participants also got familiarized with examples of Ukrainian agricultural products and agricultural machinery.
