Yatseniuk assures gas oligarchs to lose a war against Ukrainian citizens
08.10.2015 12:27 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
"Any attempts by some political forces to disrupt the program of subsidies and take away citizens’ money that the Government gives each family as compensation for tariffs on housing and communal services are doomed to failure. We will continue to issue and pay subsidies to all who need them. Gas oligarchs do not win this war against the citizens of Ukraine," Government Portal reports quoting the Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk as saying within a Government meeting yesterday.
As to the report, he reminded that the Government of Ukraine provided UAH24.5 milliard to pay subsidies.
«People not just believed, but saw that the subsidy compensates household spending, the State allocates real money to every family who needs it in order to reduce the bill on housing and communal services,» Yatseniuk said.
Reportedly, the PM reminded that within the last year 450,000 Ukrainian households - over 1.2 million citizens - had applied for subsidy. And today 3.3 million households - over 10 million citizens - have already received subsidies from the State.
In addition, Yatseniuk noted the Government expects that another million of households would receive subsidies before the beginning of the heating season.
