2009 sunseeds crop sagged by 2.5%, down to 6.361 mn MT

As reported State Statistics Committee referring to 2009 main agricultural crops harvesting results, in 2009 agrarians have harvested 6.361 mn MT sunseeds, down 165,000 MT (- 2.5%) against 2008.
As to Committee, 2009 sunseeds average yield was 15,2 metric centners per ha (down as of 15,3 metric centners per ha in 2008); sunseeds were harvested at 4,192.800 ha (down against 4,279.500 ha in 2008).
As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in 2008 agrarians harvested 6.526 mn MT sunseeds, up 2.352 mn MT (+ 56.2%) as of 2007.
As to Agro Perspective, in 2007 agrarians had harvested 4.174 mn MT sunseeds, down 1.151 mn MT (- 21.6%) as of 2006.
