Meeting of Minister Eduard Stavytsky with delegation of People's Republic of China takes place

On January 15, a working meeting of the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky with a delegation of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) comprising representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Chinese Embassy to Ukraine and China Development Bank led by Mei Jaozhun (member of the Committee of Consulting of Foreign Policy of the MFA of China) and Zha Peixin (deputy head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Gatherings of the People’s Republic of China) took place, Government Portal reports.
In the course of the meeting the sides considered the state of realization of bilateral projects in particular — modernization of a mine named after Melnykov Lysychanskvuhillya company and newly launched project of replacement of consumption of natural gas with Ukrainian coal.
During the event Eduard Stavytsky emphasized that owing to the visit of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovuch to the People’s Republic of China in 2010 a significant acceleration of the development of our cooperation was observed, new Ukraine-China projects launched and nowadays in collaboration with the Chinese partners in Ukraine a new branch is launched — gasification of coal in compliance with the signed on December 25, 2012 credit agreement between the State Bank of the Development of PRC andNaftogas of Ukraine company.
To his part Mei Jaozhun expressed assurance that with joint efforts of the sides all the conditions to deepen bipartite relations were created. Zha Peixin also confirmed readiness of the China Development Bank to cooperate with Ukraine and introduce new joint projects.
