Georgian mineral water may return to Russia
22.11.2012 09:57 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The Georgian company Borjomi International, which produces mineral water, has asked Russia to allow its products to return to the Russian market, Voice of Russia reports referring to RIA.
Borjomi water had been popular in Russia for many years, but in 2006, when relations between Russia and Georgia deteriorated, Russia ceased to import Georgian wines and Borjomi water, explaining this by their poor quality.
The Russian authorities say that they would allow Borjomi water to return to Russia only after Russian experts inspect the plants in Georgia where the water is produced. The Georgian side has agreed to this condition.
