Ukrainian agrarians have produced 1.3 million tons of sugar

Ukrainian agrarians shipped for processing 14 million tones of sugar beet, from which 1.3 million tons of sugar have been produced. Such volumes fully meet the needs of domestic consumption. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, Government Portal reports.
«According to the operative data of sulfitation factories, 1.3 million tons of sugar have been produced in Ukraine from 14 million tones of sugar beet shipped to sulfitation factories. Total sugar production is expected to reach 1.8 million tones, which would, in view of the carry-over at the beginning of the 2012/2013 marketing year, fully meet the needs of the domestic market with domestically made sugar (produced from sugar beet),» Mykola Prysyazhnyuk emphasized.
