President: Government will continue its work to develop agricultural sector

The Government will continue its work to develop agricultural sector. It was stated by the President yesterday in the course of communication with media representatives after the opening of Kyiv region bakery complex, President Viktor Yanukovych Press Office reports.
The Head of State noted that the country remained the main investor of agricultural sector. He reminded that the volume of state funding for agricultural sector had been increased by more than 30% which was around 18 billion UAH.
«Today we must process our agricultural products to receive high-quality food products with high added value. First of all it is the economy of our country. Second, it is our competitiveness because we are not interested in selling raw materials at the world markets. We must create new jobs and have good financial result,» the President noted.
«When we gather a good harvest, process these products, when we built modern enterprises, we will have the opportunity to pay people a normal salary,» the President said.
Viktor Yanukovych also expressed belief that high-tech enterprises like Kyiv region bakery complex were the future of Ukraine. «It is the result of cooperation between our national investors and the producers of the most modern equipment in the world,» he said.
