22.08.2012 18:22 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Ministry has sent a commission to verify the quality of cheese produced by Prometei and Hadiachsyr plants that was banned by Rospotrebnadzor on Russian territory, head of the Ministry Petro Poroshenko said after a government meeting on Wednesday.
Poroshenko said that the Economic Development and Trade Ministry would comment on this situation after respective studies. At the same time, the minister said that the country was continuing to cooperate on the accreditation of Ukrainian laboratories to ensure that studies are not conducted in Russia, when cheeses are already delivered there. Poroshenko also said that a significant part of Ukrainian dairy producers were easily supplying their products to the Russian market. As reported, Rospotrebnadzor earlier banned 12 batches of Ukrainian cheese, citing incompliance with sanitary standards.
